At maitai conference has been organized by the venture capitalist Bill Tai and professional kiteboarder Susi Mai. They were pleased to thank annual maitai for adding Hawaii to the startup world map. Last Friday night, Ten Hawaiian startups pitched to an audience of 140 people. Some of the audience included silicon valley's top influential technologists. Three judges were Facebook's Lars Rasmussen, Qualcomm's Dan Larsen, and Samsung's Sohn young. This competition was so high even the judges split between accounting software checkbook. Cheqbook founded by Tommy Russo, Ben Ward, and Doug Levin including Pharmly. After long deliberation, the judges have picked the winner to represent Hawaii at the startup world grand final in silicon valley. They are going to cover 29 cities across the world by the end of the year. The winner can get a prize of over $30,000.
