There is a saying, “A drop of water is worth more than a sack of gold to a thirsty man” it's true indeed. In the current situation, many urban areas and municipalities are having rapid growth but facing water issues. There are necessary activities for using water, such as cleaning, cooking, drinking, growing food, and washing, etc which is very important for human survival. However, there are a few unnecessary activities, such as washing vehicles, we can avoid and save plenty of water.
With these thoughts, a 36-year-old entrepreneur came up with an idea to launch GO Waterless that gives doorstep service to individuals who want to wash their cars. Moreover, this service is available in a few cities such as Mumbai and Nagpur.
Nitin completed BBA from IASE in Rajasthan and took charge of his father's automobile business- a mechanic workshop in Chhattisgarh where is used to give car services to customers. During summers, he would have a tough time as he noticed less presence of water in the borewell and it was troublesome for him because his business is all about giving washing service to customers.
Nitin added, considering this problem that the cars cannot be washed without water. He started explaining to customers and apologizing for the inconvenience as he was facing water scarcity and the issue persists each passing year. Nitin decided to find a solution to this and eventually came up with an idea of plant-based high lubricity spray, which helps to clean dust particles of cars without using water.
In 2017, Nitin asked for help from a few chemical engineers to develop a spray, which is made of plant-based lubricity using nanotechnology. After a year of researching and experiments and driving through physics and molecular chemistry. Scientists have invented a spray for cleaning dust particles for cars without using a single drop of water. With this important invention, he got INR 10 Lakh from his wife Kshama Sharma and family. Later, the initiative GO Waterless was launched in October 2019.
GO Waterless uses eco-friendly and non-corrosive spray that needs plants and a few more materials, and all the plant lubricants are imported from Brazil.
Nitin said the idea was to reach as many people as possible. So, he came up with an online platform where people can book a car wash online services. Once your booking is confirmed, then a trained person from the GO Waterless will come to your location to clean your car by using a lubricity spray.
He added, he is looking ahead to encourage more people to save water by expanding its operation. The latest franchise has started in Nagpur. Besides, he is also planning to launch an android app for online booking for a car wash.
GO Waterless charges INR 449 for internal and external car wash, and charges INR 249 for the external wash. There are more than 35 colonies and societies where the services of GO Waterless are available, and one of the places is Gajanan Apartments in Nagpur Maharashtra.
Currently, GO Waterless has a team of 23 people, and its customer base is around 1,000.
GO Waterless is aiming to expand its operation and make people aware of saving water. Besides, he is giving doorstep services to individuals who want to wash their cars.
